Bonfoh Abbass

El-Hadj Bonfoh Abbass (b. 1948) is the interim President of Togo till the mid-April 2005 presidential election. He took that position on February 25 2005 when President Faure Gnassingbe resigned due to pressure from the international community. Bonfoh, who was first deputy parliament speaker at the time, was elected speaker of parliament and thus became acting president.
